Innovation with many faces: the “Crea tu” case of Orogel


“Crea Tu” is born, a product that was not there, that invents a new reference in the food world, contemporary and child of our times, also for the way it was born: a team effort between Orogel employees who were chosen to imagine, design and finally create a product with innovative characteristics.
An Impact Innovation path, carried out by the company in collaboration with Lenovys, designed to launch innovative products and services on the market.
A method that, as per Orogel corporate culture, enhances the talent and ideas of people who, not only in words, are the wealth of the company.
Thus, a high-impact innovation project reached the finish line which allowed multidisciplinary teams (commercial, IT, logistics, marketing, foreign commercial, trade marketing, quality, R & D, Chef, Production, Lean) to arrive on the market in a short time thanks to the contribution of different skills and experiences.

The project started with an analysis of the needs of today’s consumers, including employee-creators, who increasingly share a critical issue: lack of time. You would like to eat healthily, guarantee the whole family a varied and balanced diet, but often there isn’t even time to go shopping, prepare, even open the fridge and think about how to combine the ingredients. Crea Tu responds to this need.
The innovation team started with 57 ideas and went through multiple work phases: consumer needs analysis, internal testing, market research, consumer panels. Each phase of the work involved a continuous adjustment, until it reached the result, the one that responds to the idea in Orogel of cooking and service in favor of families, the one that puts the person at the center.
