What is the course for

#2

How to reduce stress and manage your emotional self

#3

Integrate the development of awareness into daily activities and into your work in particular

Concentration and flexibility are qualities that are increasingly required in organisational contexts. The digital age and the changing work and social environment require antidotes to problems of concentration and emotional vulnerability that are increasingly spilling into relationships. These skills can be learned through the practice of mindfulness which provides the tools to respond to internal and external stimuli in addition to social and working pressures in a conscious manner, rather than through automatic reactions, which are often damaging or ineffectual. It is therefore possible and necessary to feel up to the challenges of everyday life by learning to manage them with clarity, kindness and greater flexibility.

As proof of the effectiveness of this approach, numerous neuro-scientific brain function studies (FMRIs) have shown that those who regularly practice focused attention improve the ability to control anxiety and manage stress and their reaction to high pressure emotional states, in general. For companies this translates into a lower staff turnover, a reduction in burn out rates and reduced absenteeism. It also improves the company’s working environment and with it the satisfaction and the greater efficiency of those involved at every level.

Why

The course is organised into one or two days and is developed through exploring the theoretical and practical aspects of mindfulness, in particular:

it begins by observing the chronic inattention present in our daily lives in order to understand the importance of a method that leads us to presence of mind and the conscious management of one’s own emotions.

The Research

Research shows the benefits of practising daily mindfulness exercises.

Practice

Instructions will be given on how to establish daily practice based on the premise that the results achieved derive from direct experience.

Application to work

Ample opportunity will be offered to identify informal moments for practice within a work setting, by establishing how it is possible to develop awareness in the different stages of a professional context.

You will experience

  • How to use and benefit from techniques to develop concentration
  • How to bring efficiency to your business, improve time management and reduce the burden of negative emotions.
  • How to increase your emotional intelligence
