We have several ongoing collaborations with Prof. John Drogosz, who in addition to being Vice President of Optiprise, teaches Lean Product-Process Development at the University of Michigan, with Jeffrey Liker.

Professor Drogosz carried out numerous significant international operations in streamlining development of products and services. His courses are attended by representatives major companies such as Tenneco Automotive, DaimlerChrysler, and Harley Davidson. Companies like Hertz, PSA, Alstom are currently carrying out improvement programs with Drogosz and his staff.

Dr. John Drogosz – Vice President – Lean Services, Optiprise, Inc.

Dr. Drogosz has 15 years of experience in everything related to Lean Manufacturing, Lean Administration, Lean Services and Lean Development.

Among his many experiences as a senior consultant, there are some that stand out for their relevance and the results that were achieved: Northrop Grumman, Ford Motor Company, Johnson Controls, General Motors-Asia, Society of Automotive Engineers, Rush Trucking, Areva, PSA, PeopleFlo, Tenneco Automotive, Johnson Controls, DaimlerChrysler, Eaton Truck, Nordco, Grayhill e Harley-Davidson.

In Northrop Grumman Ship Systems, John Drogosz has applied Lean principles in both the shipyards and in engineering processes, reducing the crossing time and increasing productivity.
At Ford, at the plant’s assembly in Cuautitlan, Mexico, and at General Motors, in China, he has supported the implementation of the synchronized materials flow.

John has contributed to improving the freight performance of various shipping companies. He implemented many principles of Lean Product Development at Johnson Controls. He was the project manager for the initiative of Lean Deployment in Hertz Corporation.

He is currently contributing to lean process transformation in product development at Schlumberger in Houston, Peugeot-Citroen Tenneco Automotive-Germany and Harley-Davidson.
John is also supporting the lean transformation of the nuclear plant Areva.

Dr. Drogosz teaches Lean Manufacturing and Lean Product and Process Development at the "College of Engineering" of the University of Michigan - Ann Arbor.

In the past he taught "Financial Analysis for Modern Manufacturing", "Engineering Economics" and "Financial Engineering".
Before joining OPTIPRISE, John worked with John Shook, in his TWI Network as a Ford Production System consultant in the Dearborn factory.

Dr. Drogosz has a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Western Ontario, as well as a Masters and a PhD in "Industrial and Operations Engineering" from University of Michigan. John is also Six Sigma Black Belt.
